Introduction to JoeDaisy Studio and your Professional Artist.
10.15am Choose your space, adjust your professional painting easel, acclimatise yourself to the painting equipment on your painting table. Every artist has their own space with professional easel, painting table and hi stool. ALL YOUR PROFESSIONAL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED.
10.30am ACRYLIC PAINTING. Perhaps the easiest of medium and certainly the most expressive. Don't be under a misapprehension that acrylic paint 'Dries quickly' because our PROFESSIONAL acrylic paint DOESN'T!! We ease ourselves gently into this 'exploratory' weekend with acrylic painting. A wonderfully expressive medium. which is easy to use and our acrylic paint is so good that there is no longer a 'stigma' or inferior comparison to oils. You can be both painterly and 'free' with acrylics.
1.0pm Buffet Lunch in the Upstairs Lounge We cater for vegetarians and any special dietary requirements. During the day, there is a coffee machine, tea, herbal drinks, soft drinks, bottled water and wine available - along with nibbles and you are encouraged to make the Studio 'your home' for the weekend i.e take rests whenever you want to, walk around, look at the art books, look at the paintings and prints in the Gallery, sit and chat etc. We want you to feel as if you are at home but with the added bonus of every top quality Professional art material and facility you could desire!
2.0pm WATERCOLOUR PAINTING. You tutor shows you watercolour techniques. Watercolour painting is a 'process'. Processes have to be learnt to really enjoy watercolour and to make the medium work properly. Very relaxing medium!
4.30pm DAY ENDS
SUNDAY
Arrive 9.30am OIL PAINTING . 'Alla Prima' or 'All in one go' is the modern way of painting in oils. Oil painting is very different from acrylics and watercolour. You have to 'plan' your painting and approach this medium quite slowly and carefully.

3.00 ASSESSMENT AND CHAT and critiques.
3.30pm. Collection of your paintings and course notes, Day Ends
EXTENDED WEEKEND - MONDAY
9.30am Arrive, You can chose which medium you paint in today. A new canvas - size up to 80x80cm.
12.30pm Lunch
3.30pm Day ends.
This weekend course is an exploratory construction and painting medium course, where you learn how to construct a painting in different ways and experience oils, watercolour and acrylics. Most students come back for more specific
teaching but this is a great course to start with AND an exclusive opportunity to use top quality professional materials with tuition from an exceptionally talented and capable professional artist. WHO DOES NOT IMPOSE HER WILL ON YOU!! BUT ENCOURAGES THE ARTIST IN YOU!
