How to paint buildings (acrylics)

We look at how to paint exciting building and street scenes with the emphasis on simplifying detail to create expressive works.

Learn how to simplify with brush marks while still maintaining the identity of a building, understand linear and aerial perspective in creating the illusion of form and dimension, and examine what makes an engaging composition.

Placing a building in a scene and getting the size, proportion and perspective correct is difficult.
