10.30am Paints, brushes and equipment. KNOW YOUR EQUIPMENT. A complete
overview, explanation and
comparison of products. Every artist has their own space with professional easel, painting table and hi stool. ALL YOUR PROFESSIONAL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED.
11.00AM Start your painting.Caroline shows you how to make sure your image is perfectly composed. Caroline shows you technique, brush work etc.

You decide what you want to paint. We know painting is all
about passion and your creativity. So we don't want to teach you to 'paint by numbers'
or be 'prescriptive' in any of our courses. So you decide what form interests you.
Landscapes, still life, abstracts etc.
BRING YOUR OWN IMAGES
OR if you feel confident enough, Caroline will help you compose your own painting.
We can work with the same image for both of the days - so we can have a comparison of acrylic versus oils. YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN IMAGE.
12.30am Buffet Lunch in the Upstairs Gallery (Sometimes a barbecue in the summer) We cater for vegetarians and any special dietary requirements. During the day, there is a coffee machine, tea, herbal drinks, soft drinks, bottled water and wine available - along with nibbles and you are encouraged to make the Studio 'your home' for the weekend i.e take rests whenever you want to, walk around, look at the art books, look at the paintings and prints in the Gallery, sit and chat etc. We want you to feel as if you are at home but with the added bonus of every top quality Professional art material and facility you could desire!
1.30pm We are working on large canvases, - up to 100cm - so it will take most of the day to create our acrylic painting. If the weather is good - we can go on location and make some 'working drawings'.
4.0pm Day Ends

Arrive 9.00am Refreshments in the upstairs gallery. You can arrive at 9.0-9.30am on Sunday.
10.00am Start Your Painting. You can paint on a canvas up to size 100x100cm

This weekend course is an Introduction to Oil & Acrylic Painting and we cover all the basics to
compose harmonious art works. Most students come back for more specific
